ABSTRACT
Our project aims at controlling a miniature robotic arm with the help of micro controller. The control is based from the stored program control. The robot can be controlled from any standard computer having serial port. This type of robots finds wide application in industry for automation.

It is a PC controlled robot mechanism which does all the repetitive jobs in an industry. Generally robots are employed in areas which are hazardous to humans, robots can repeat the n’th  job with the same accuracy as it would do the first job. All repetitive programs are assigned to a specific program. The PC end software is terminal program with decimal, hex or ASCII character input. On board firmware on the Microcontroller controls the motor actuators.
